College Ready

Students in the School District of Beloit Turner are consider College Ready when they meet either the Academic Indicators or Standardized Testing Benchmarks listed below. For your reference,click hereto view the Redefining Ready! summary of the indicators. 

High School

Standardized Testing Benchmarks (minimum score)

ACT Exam Minimum Scores (English-18, Reading- 22, Science- 23, Math 22 or 

Academic Indicators

GPA 2.8 out of 4.0 and one or more of the following academic indicators:
  • AP Exam (3+)
  • AP Course (A, B or C)
  • Dual Credit College English or Math (A, B or C)
  • College Developmental/Remedial English and/or Math (A, B, or C)
  • College Algebra and Trigonometry (Algebra II equivalent)(A, B, or C)

Middle School

Academic Indicators

  • % Students with 3.0 GPA or better
  • % Students passing core classes with a C or higher
  • % of Students Advanced and Proficient on Forward Exam in ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science

Elementary Schools

Academic Indicators

  • Reading Readiness- % of students in each grade level who meet the readiness benchmark
  • Math Readiness- % of students in each grade level who meet the math readiness benchmark
  • WI Forward Exam- % of students proficient or advanced in grades 3 (Reading, Math), 4 (Reading Math, Science, and Social Studies),
    5 (Reading, Math)
